Welcome Applicant,

An out of state production will be filming a short feature at Scaramanga Ranch September 15 - 18. The production asked our assistance in recruiting an experienced gaffer for this non-union project.

Only submit if you meet the criteria and available on dates noted above. Applications unrelated to the gaffer position will not be considered. Please do not contact Scaramanga because quite frankly we are not the producers. This is a client filming on our ranch.

PRODUCER CREDIBILITY
"Good"

As producers ourselves we are quite cognizant of scrupulous and abusive producers and productions. As such, to the best of our ability, Scaramanga Ranch researches producer credibility.

To our knowledge this NY-based production is in good standing and has not defaulted on service, rental, or crew payments. However, never let the promise of 'opportunity' cloud sensible judgement.

Doing your diligence prior to accepting work can save you from an uncomfortable situation.

If hired and your experience with this producer was poor, definitely email us.  

PRODUCTION 'GAFFER' APPLICATION

ABOUT NON-UNION PROJECT

• Length. This is a 4-day production and the gaffer is needed for all four days.

• Availability. Do not apply unless you are available September 15 - 18.

• Production Details. Crew is 13, filmed on RED.

• Locations. Outdoors on Scaramanga Ranch in Madrid, NM, 1-day in White Rock, NM.

• Work Day. The production considers a work-day 8 hours.

• Meals. Beverages, snacks, lunch, dinner provided.

• Transport. Have your own 'reliable' transport. There is $30 per day fuel compensation.

• Talent. Production specifically seeks gaffer with a talent for using natural light.

• Requirements. 18yo+, valid NM drivers license, appropriate experience, references.

• Rate. Undisclosed. However, the rate is in keeping with project's scope and needs.
